Light shirt refashion – Camasa mare transformata in fusta

14 May

When I think of spring I think of pink and green and yellow. I know it’s not just me, these colors are basically the announcers of nature’s revival after the harsh and unforgiving winter that , thank God, is now ova’ !

When I found this shirt , what I wrote above was the first thing that had popped into my head.  Beside the cute colors, the fabric is so light and comfortable that makes it so perfect for this time of the year.

This skirt I found on Polyvore and loved the style so much I thought instead of paying 99 pounds for it , I could fashion something myself.

As you can see , it’s an XXL and it’s also a bit outdated…

___________________________________________

First thing first! These are not needed in this epoch!

Incepem cu inceputul. Buretii nu au trebuinta in aceasta epoca.

Then I sewed the hem for the elastic band and slipped the elastic right in the hem. (I actually never thought I would do this step, because it always appeared to me as difficult , let me tell you, it’s not!)

_____________________________________________________________________

Shirt-to skirt is definetely something i am trying…very soon!I have 2 silk shirts that are so ’80s,but would look great as skirts.I have seen somewhere they made a belt for this kind of skirt by attaching the sleeves together, slipped trough added belt loops!

I’ve seen that sleeve-do too and it’s really cute …you should definitely do it !
